Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card that fits inside a similarly illustrated envelope with a circular window revealing the coin’s reverse and obverse designs.
The coin’s reverse depicts the Royal Cypher of Queen Elizabeth II surmounted by St Edward’s Crown. The inscription H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II LONGEST REIGNING MONARCH and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark are also included in the design.
The coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2015 year-date and monetary denomination.”
