A magnificent silver commemorative celebrating the 60 year reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin depicts the St Edward’s crown, a central piece in the Crown Jewels regalia, which graced Her Majesty’s head at her coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey, London, in June 1953.
The coin’s reverse features a struck design of the St Edward’s Crown, edged by 60 diamond motifs – representing each year of Her Majesty’s reign. The inscription DIAMOND JUBILEE and the dates 1952 – 2012 are also incorporated into the design.
Issued as Australian legal tender, the coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year-date and the monetary denomination.
The coin is presented in a classic display case with a superbly foiled and embossed shipper, accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
No more than 600 coins will be issued by The Perth Mint.
