1973 Barbados 8 coin currency Franklin Mint proof set featuring silver Neptune of the Sea and Shell FountainAt the time of mintage this set was the first national coinage in Barbados 350 year history. Coins remain untouched by the original owner between two sheets of enveloping plastic snug inside the jewel box case. The items in the photo are the ones that will be shipped. Certificate of authenticity (shown in photo) from Franklin Mint and government of Barbados references all 8 coins. Nothing is missing. Nothing has been switched.Flat areas on both sides of all coins are mirror finish. Raised areas on both sides of all coins are frosted, cameo, and textured.Sculptor Philip Nathan created the nautical obverse designs. Five of the eight coins feature the sea, and the remaining three coins feature landmarks of Barbados.
